"After documenting inventory reductions and thru-put improvement through our black belt lead lean manufacturing project, we were able to obtain a four-fold incremental improvement in inventory reduction and customer service level improvement through implementing GAINS.”

“We hit $62 million (in monthly sales).
We have never even come close to hitting $60 million in any month previously. Those sales were due to having the right inventory at the right time. Our inventory levels began dropping right after we implemented the new software (GAINS) and they have leveled off at about $5.5 million below their previous levels, so with more revenue and lower costs our increase in profit contribution is spectacular."

Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS)

GAINSystems is able to
deliver the GAINS
solution through the
Internet via access to our
remotely-hosted application

AMR Research, Aberdeen and Gartner advocate the advantages of providing best-of-breed business solutions via remotely-hosted applications, now termed Software-as-a-Service or ‘SaaS’.  Though providing remote access to application users on a subscription basis is not a new model, it is gaining popularity once again with the advent of web-based solutions and increased specialization of solution sets.  Of late, SaaS models are being used for mission-critical solutions including Customer Relationship Management, ERP, Salesforce Automation and Supply Chain Management.

After a brief implementation and training phase, GAINSystems is able to deliver the GAINS™ solution through the Internet via access to our remotely-hosted application to optimize inventory reducing both inventory investment and expediting costs.  Several Customers are already using this approach with proven success.

Typically, the attributes of a successful GAINS SaaS user will be a company with one or more of the following:

  • Rapid implementation
  • A need to minimize internal IT complexity and resource usage
  • A desire to avoid larger, initial capital expenditures and distribute expenses with accrued benefits
  • A desire to leverage best-of-breed solutions while continuing to work strictly within an ERP-centric architecture
  • Smaller total supply chain costs (e.g., less than $3,000,000 in inventory and less than $200,000 in expediting and/or lost-sales costs)
  • A widely dispersed planning community, both domestically and offshore
  • A less-voluminous set of supply chain data (e.g., fewer than 20,000 SKUs)
  • Longer lead times and/or a focus on policy optimization, not replenishment execution, improvements

When a customer pursues the GAINS SaaS approach, GAINSystems’ Consultants conduct all IT-related tasks necessary to interface with the customer’s legacy data and they also conduct the training required for both planners and managers to become self-sufficient.

Fee plans are developed on a customer-specific basis and are available for a 24, 36, and, on occasion, greater than 36-month term.
